StandardData is a small-business prime contractor supporting DoD programs focused on Command and Control (C2) software modernization and sustainment under GSA MAS.
Role Summary:
Full-stack technical lead for C2 Modernization and Sustainment mission, unifying legacy baselines with modern software suites across Agile DevSecOps value streams. Owns engineering quality for applications spanning simulation, scenario generation, reporting services, and model-based systems operating within DoD DevSecOps ecosystems. Functions as the primary interface to Government customers and associate contractors, translating requirements into executable backlogs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Agile program increment planning, backlog refinement, and sprint execution for both legacy sustainment and modernized services
Architect and oversee secure integration patterns between C2 components, AOC systems, and federation interfaces using RESTful microservices and IaC-managed environments
Direct model/software modernization from requirements through accreditation, including CI/CD automation, automated test harnesses, and RMF control inheritance
Coordinate Tier II engineering support during 24/7 exercises and distributed events (CONUS/OCONUS), providing rapid defect triage and configuration management
Mentor cross-functional squads and subcontract partners, ensuring consistent coding standards and software assurance practices
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (STEM) plus 10+ years leading C5ISR-focused software engineering; Master's preferred
Expert-level proficiency in C++, Python, TypeScript, and containerized web services
Hands-on experience with cloud/on-prem pipelines, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible), and automated test frameworks supporting RMF ATO packages
Minimum two years supporting operational planning, mission rehearsal, or wargaming for Joint/Coalition air operations
Proven ability to execute surge staffing plans through structured recruitment/retention pipelines
Security Requirements:
Active Secret clearance required (TS/SCI eligibility preferred)
Security+ CE and Linux+ within 90 days
