The Job:
Assist in the NPI process to ensure on-time product launches working alongside the global product team, global engineering and brand teams (which requires becoming the product expert for the assigned projects).
Creating and managing launch documents in line with the Launch Window process.
Work with local marketing and commercial teams to create promotional kits and execute product modifications.
Review and undertake market and competitor reviews and assist the team with customer research.
Review and report on performance indicators for the assigned product portfolios and projects.
Act as the guardian for data integrity relating to the DEWALT product portfolio.
Accountability:
Key responsibilities will include owning the product launch process and hitting key phase gate dates on time (new SKU set-up, working with the global team to get all documentation for packaging and artwork creation, working with factories and vendors to approve product).
Create launch information - API documents, updating NPI tracker and SharePoint sites, Riversand data management.
Life cycle and range management - on-going range sales analysis and product menu management, working with the markets to hit SKU rationalisation targets. Identify range gaps for customer range reviews/tenders.
Work with the brand and communications team to ensure new products are fully briefed in with full details potential in the market is maximised, for example arranging and coordinating POS materials.
Carryout user research to identify new opportunities and ensure product development meets user needs.
Collate competitor benchmarking on NPI and promotions.
Being first point of contact on all EMEA ANZ country product related enquiries for the DEWALT portfolio.

Experience in a product and/or marketing role â what have you done that you think would lend itself to a product manager role?
A good financial acumen and analytical ability â profit and loss is an important part of a product manager role.

Experience using various computer applications including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Presentation skills - to be able to create and present to both small and large audiences. Comfortable with presenting in front of a live audience and over other media such as Teams â the way we work has changed and is continuing to evolve but one thing hasnât, the importance of being a product champion, passionate about what you do and the ability to convince others too.
Product training - ability to use, demonstrate and show key features and benefits of all products to our internal teams, retail customers and end users â training our trainers!
Must have a âcan-doâ attitude â the desire to go above and beyond in all you do! â the role is so varied we donât have a product manager instruction book; sometimes you may need to determine the best way forward.
