Web Developer (WordPress \& Design) – Part-Time / Student Job
Introduction
As a Web Developer (WordPress \& Design), you will mainly be responsible for supporting the development, design, and maintenance of our WordPress websites and digital platforms. You will work on real projects that directly impact our operations, including website improvements, UI/UX enhancements, and digital design work. Candidates with an interest in AI will also have opportunities to explore how AI-driven tools can support web development and creative workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, update, and maintain WordPress websites, pages, and landing pages.
Design banners, graphics, and UI elements for web and marketing use.
Improve website speed, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
Configure and integrate WordPress themes, plugins, forms, and basic automation tools.
Support simple SEO tasks (metadata, sitemaps) and analytics setup.
Troubleshoot layout, plugin, or basic hosting issues.
Assist in exploratory tasks involving AI tools for development or design.
Other projects that directly contribute to operations.
Learning Outcomes
Practical experience in WordPress development, UI/UX design, and digital operations.
Understanding of how websites support real business workflows.
Exposure to SEO fundamentals, website optimisation, and analytics tools.
Opportunity to explore and apply AI tools in web development or design.
Requirements
University or Polytechnic students in Computing, IT, Computer Engineering, Multimedia, or Design, or other related subjects preferred.
Familiarity with HTML/CSS and JavaScript; WordPress experience or interest in learning it strongly preferred.
Experience with design tools (Figma, Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator) is advantageous.
Knowledge of any web framework (React, Vue, Next.js, Django, etc.) is a bonus but not required.
Self-driven, responsible, and able to work independently with guidance.
