We are looking for a Software Engineer who combines hands-on SQL Server development skills with strong practical knowledge of strata accounting. This role works closely with product, accounting, and operations teams to design, build, and maintain complex financial and reporting systems used by strata managers and owners corporations.
This is a niche role requiring both technical depth and industry-specific knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain MS SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and queries supporting strata accounting workflows
Work extensively with trust accounting data, levy calculations, budgets, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate strata accounting requirements into technical solutions
Support and enhance existing financial modules while contributing to new platform features
Assist with data integrity, auditing, and compliance-related reporting
Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation
Essential Skills \& Experience
Strong knowledge of Strata Accounting, including:
Trust accounting concepts
Levy calculations and fund management
Financial reporting for owners corporations
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including:
Complex stored procedures and functions
Data modelling for financial systems
Fluency in both English and Sinhalese (written and spoken) – required for collaboration with offshore and local stakeholders
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
