The Role
**We are increasing the team, seeking high
quality
applications from people at a wide range of career stages.**
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will
either
be a Ruby on Rails full stack developer,
or
a passionate front-end developer with an eye for excellent design and user experience (UX). As a member of Studiosity’s Product team, you will help drive the development and ongoing alignment of our market leading, generative AI powered education technology solutions, in pursuit of our mission of increasing life chances for students, everywhere.
The successful full stack developer will:
Help us build new features into our asynchronous writing feedback service and real-time classroom. Develop systems that support thousands of students every day with our software stack consisting of Ruby on Rails, React, ES6, along with EventMachine, NodeJS, JS frameworks and web sockets.
You will add automated tests to our 28k+ test suite written with RSpec, Capybara, Selenium and Jasmine to be run through our CI/CD system.
The successful front end developer will:
Leverage your experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript (React) to deliver exceptional UX design. You will take proactive ownership of the front-end, driving a clean, polished, and beautiful interface for our student users, moving beyond reactive development to actively shape the product experience.
