Requirements Required Qualifications \& Experience

University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.

Proven experience in test automation development and integration testing.

Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework, Ansible, Selenium, PyTest, JUnit, Cucumber, etc.).

Understanding of Agile methodologies

Experience with Python, and/or Java, or C++ for scripting and test automation.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI,…).

Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting (Bash, Shell).

Understanding of software testing methodologies (unit, integration, system, regression).

Experience with requirements management \& traceability tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Willingness to learn basic Spanish if not already proficient.

Desirable Skills

Previous experience in space, aviation, or safety-critical systems.

Knowledge of ECSS standards, Galileo, or other GNSS-related programmes.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or virtualization for test environments.

Certification in software testing.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts for Galileo ground systems, based on system requirements.

Develop continuous integration / continuous testing (CI/CT) pipelines to support system validation and regression testing.

Analyse requirements and translate them into test cases and automation scenarios.

Perform integration and validation testing of complex ground control and mission systems.

Ensure test traceability against requirements in compliance with ESA/EUSPA standards.

Collaborate with system engineers, L2 engineers, software developers, and quality managers to improve test coverage and reliability.

Contribute to test reporting, defect tracking, and root cause analysis.

Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA.
