Key responsibilities of this role include..
Deliver and support site-wide automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA platforms (e.g., InTouch, Ignition)
Support capital projects by contributing to the design and implementation of automation and controls
Work with recipe management, traceability systems, and ERP integration to optimise production
Troubleshoot automation issues, investigate root causes, and implement robust technical solutions
Contribute to OT network design, data architecture, and cybersecurity protocols
Work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, IT, and quality teams
You may be an experienced automation engineer or early in your career with strong practical exposure â either way, youâre keen to learn, proactive, and tech-savvy .
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
Degree or diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical, Computer, or Control Systems Engineering
Previous experience in automation or manufacturing systems
Hands-on skills with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley preferred), HMI, SCADA
Some exposure to scripting/programming (e.g. Python, .Net, C#), database/SQL skills
Knowledge of OT networking, system integration, and cybersecurity practices
A practical mindset and strong communication skills, you work well on the floor and with teams
