T\&G Fresh is looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to lead one of our most significant supermarket partnerships, with Foodstuffs North Island. This is one of the most commercially important relationships in our New Zealand business.
This role sits within our NZ Markets \& Key Accounts team and is responsible for developing strong, trusted relationships with Foodstuffs while coordinating activity across T\&Gâs diverse produce categories. From bananas and berries through to pipfruit and citrus, you will work closely with category specialists, growers, procurement teams and market sales teams to ensure our products and programmes deliver outstanding results.
Based in Mount Wellington, this role works closely with the Foodstuffs head office and will occasionally involve travel to growers and production regions.
About the role
This is a highly visible role focused on account leadership, commercial performance, and relationship management.
You will act as the key connector between our customer and the wider T\&G business, including our national grower network, category procurement specialists and regional market sales teams, ensuring we deliver coordinated sales programmes, successful product launches, and high-performing promotional activity across multiple produce categories.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the strategic partnership with Foodstuffs North Island
Developing and executing account plans, promotional calendars, and category initiatives
Managing commercial performance including sales, margin and promotional activity
Leading commercial negotiations and programme discussions with the customer
Coordinating across category procurement specialists, market sales teams and growers
Delivering insights, reporting and market intelligence to drive better decisions
Supporting new product launches and category development
Building strong internal and external relationships to position T\&G as the supplier of choice
About you
This role requires someone who understands the pace and complexity of supermarket retail and can quickly build trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
You will likely bring:
Experience managing or working closely with Foodstuffs North Island or Woolworths
A strong background in account management, FMCG sales, or fresh produce
The ability to navigate a complex supply chain and multi-category environment
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing sales performance and promotions
Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills
A proactive, resilient approach and high level of integrity
Fresh produce experience is highly valued, but we would also consider candidates from FMCG environments who understand supermarket buying structures.
