As a Junior DevOps Engineer on our team, youâll use your experience to streamline our software development life cycle from requirements to monitoring in production. Youâll lead efforts to incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious, boring tasks and free up the teams to do what they do best â innovate. Youâll implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. Responsibilities
Support Linux systems engineering efforts in system design, solution engineering, software development, or system administration.
Administer container platforms such as Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or EKS.
Develop infrastructure as code using scripting languages including Ansible, Python, Bash, and Terraform to automate capabilities.
Contribute to complex build systems and participate in an Agile SDLC environment.
Participate in an on-call rotation, responding to calls on a 24/7 basis every 4 to 6 weeks.
Identify integration opportunities and assist in introducing new hardware or software into existing environments with minimal disruption.
Collaborate on creating automated DevSecOps pipelines leveraging Cloud service providers like AWS and Azure.
Manage and configure Opensearch clusters, including index lifecycle management.
Qualifications
Support experience with Linux systems engineering or related fields (1+ years).
Experience administering container platforms such as Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or EKS (1+ years).
Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash, Python, Ansible, and Terraform (1+ years).
Familiarity with complex build systems and SDLC processes.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
Desired Skills
Developing back-end software applications.
Leveraging cloud service providers such as AWS and Azure for automation pipelines.
Configuring Opensearch clusters and managing index lifecycle.
Working with security scanning tools and vulnerability remediation.
Knowledge of Java programming.
