Data Analyst
Dublin City Centre, Ireland (Onsite / Hybrid)
You must already be eligible to live and work in Ireland with no future visa constraints, i.e., be an EU/UK citizen, or hold a Spousal or Stamp 4 Visa. Unfortunately, this excludes Stamp 1G Student Visa holders.
You must have a strong interest (and acquired knowledge), or preferably employment in fund management, private equity, or capital markets, and bring an understanding of investment instruments such as bonds, equities, international currencies, or derivatives. For clarity, working with financial datasets outside investment management does not match this essential experience requirement.

Our customer is an established, fast-growing Fintech firm based in the heart of the city. Due to ongoing expansion, they're currently seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join their team.
The company provides financial risk management and data services to the global funds industry via a proprietary cloud-based platform. The company’s principal focus is on providing its clients with precise, accurate risk information, often customised to specific customer requirements.
Reporting to the Head of Data Management, you will be part of a team that is responsible for data analysis and process automation.
Role and Responsibilities

Convert portfolio positions and NAV data from the client's proprietary format into a unified internal notation
Enrich positions with additional data required to perform UCITS/AIFMD risk analysis.
Analyse and escalate breaches
Write routines for exception detection and handling
Continuously improve efficiency through automation
Conduct other related tasks assigned by the senior management.
Skillset
----------------
A strong interest (and acquired knowledge), or preferably previous employment, in fund management or private equity, capital markets (financial instruments including bonds, equities, international currencies, or derivatives) - this is an essential requirement
Good commercial knowledge of the Python programming language for data analysis
Understanding of Excel, databases, and data processing
Linux experience is advantageous
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance or a similar field (or relevant experience)
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
A successful applicant must be an EU citizen or have a visa to work full-time in Ireland for an unlimited period
Desire to learn about coding and data infrastructure
Great communication skills
