.
Their products generate and process large amounts of data from sensors, on-board models, and control algorithms in real-time creating real-world machine usage information. As part of the overall digital strategy, this organisation has developed an integrated family of mining machine-based information technology products that interconnect the mining machines to provide real time guidance, tracking, monitoring and supervisory control of the operational mining fleet. The product range links with other mining and business information systems and is an integral part of the organisation's Mining Technology Enabled Solutions vision.
Specific responsibilities include:
Writing clean code, efficient and maintainable that adheres to best practice and coding standards that aligns with both organisation’s expectations and those of the industry.
Using your experience to think critically and offer new suggestions and thinking to solving complicated problems related to developing the UI.
Adhering to the requirement of delivering logic that is covered by automated tests where needed and that provide value.
Ability to not just connect to APIs but understand the business and data flow through the APIs so that performance and productivity goals are maintained for the Customer as well as the end user’s experience.
Collaborate with back-end service developers, UX/UI architects and designers to maintain performance, security posture and cross-browser compatibility.
Debug code to investigate support requests and solve issues while also providing internal application support related to UI queries.
Create and maintain documentation so that future changes can be implemented with easy reference to accessible and easy to follow technical documentation.
Required Skills \& Experience:
4+ years’ relevant commercial software development experience using Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Experience working with and developing APIs.
Strong collaboration skills with local and remote teams.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
Experience with modern security principles and technologies.
Strong analytical, design and problem-solving skills.
Desired skills and experience:
A bachelor’s degree or higher in software engineering, computer science or related discipline.
Previous experience working as a UI Lead within a product delivery organisation.
Previous experience in mining business domain and/or mining technology OEM.
Willingness to stay up to date on latest technology trends and make recommendations for adoption where appropriate.
Willingness to take on-board and provide feedback to colleagues, junior staff, and leaders.
The role requires you to be in the Brisbane CBD office 5 days per week with flexible start \& finish times.
This is a
contract role
running for an
initial period of 12 months
. Strong performers will be extended as the work is on-going.
The hiring manager will only consider candidates already residing in Greater Brisbane for this role and who possess either Australian or NZ citizenship or Australian PR.
