. This role bridges development and operations to improve deployment speed, reliability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cloud Infrastructure Management
Build and manage scalable cloud infrastructures using AWS / Azure / GCP / Oracle Cloud services
Provision and configure cloud resources (compute, storage, networking)
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using
Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, Bicep, or OCI Resource Manager
Implement autoscaling, load balancing, and high‑availability architectures
2. CI/CD Pipeline Development
Build end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines with tools like:
GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines
Automate code integration, testing, and deployment
Support blue/green, canary deployments, and release automation
3. Automation \& Orchestration
Automate provisioning, deployment, and configuration using
Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack
Manage container orchestration using
Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE/OKE)
or Docker Swarm
Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting automation
4. Monitoring \& Observability
Implement monitoring and dashboards using:
CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, GCP Operations Suite, OCI Observability, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stacks
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and proactive system tuning
5. Security \& Governance
Implement identity and access management (IAM) and role-based access controls
Ensure cloud security best practices (encryption, key management, secrets management)
Enforce compliance standards (ISO, SOC, GDPR, HIPAA as applicable)
6. Collaboration \& Reliability Engineering
Work closely with developers, architects, QA, and security teams
Drive DevOps culture, automation mindset, and continuous improvement
Improve system reliability through SRE best practices (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets)
Required Skills \& Qualifications
Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP / Oracle Cloud)
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, OCI templates)
Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines
Proficiency with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Strong understanding of networking, DNS, VPN, VPC, firewalls
Knowledge of version control (Git)
Preferred Qualifications
Cloud certifications such as:
AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect / DevOps Certs
Experience with microservices and serverless architectures
Familiarity with cost optimization techniques
