Frontend Engineer

with expertise in

React, Next.js, Contentful, GCP/Azure, and DevOps

is primarily responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, high-performance, and user-friendly web applications using a modern tech stack. This role involves managing the entire frontend development lifecycle, from integrating with a headless CMS to deploying on cloud platforms using CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

UI Development:

Design and develop responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces using React.js and Next.js, ensuring cross-browser compatibility.

Headless CMS Integration:

Integrate front-end applications with headless Content Management Systems (CMS) like Contentful using RESTful or GraphQL APIs to manage and deliver content dynamically.

Performance Optimization:

Optimize web applications for maximum speed, scalability, and SEO, leveraging Next.js features such as Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), and image optimization.

API Integration:

Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and services, handling data exchange, state management (e.g., Redux, Context API), and authentication flows.

Cloud \& DevOps Collaboration:

Work closely with DevOps teams to manage cloud infrastructure (GCP/Azure) and implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient build, test, and deployment processes.

Code Quality \& Best Practices:

Write clean, modular, and well-documented code, participate in code reviews, and enforce frontend coding standards and best practices.

Troubleshooting \& Debugging:

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex frontend issues across various devices and browsers.

Collaboration:

Work within agile methodologies, collaborating effectively with product managers, UI/UX designers, and other engineers to translate designs and requirements into technical solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Proficiency:

Strong expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

Framework Experience:

In-depth, hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js.

CMS Knowledge:

Familiarity with headless CMS platforms, specifically Contentful.

Cloud Platforms:

Exposure to cloud services and infrastructure management on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure.

DevOps Tools:

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git/GitHub), and potentially containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

API Skills:

Proficiency in integrating with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.

Testing:

Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is typically required.
