About the Role
We are looking for an experienced
Senior Cloud Engineer
with a strong background in
AWS infrastructure design, deployment, and operations
. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of AWS core services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes (EKS), and modern cloud automation practices. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments across multiple AWS accounts.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure following best practices for scalability, availability, and security.
Operate and maintain AWS environments in
multi-account setups
using AWS Organizations, IAM, and cross-account role management.
Deploy, manage, and optimize
EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)
clusters for containerized workloads.
Implement infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management using
Terraform
,
CloudFormation
, or
AWS CDK
.
Automate configuration management, application deployment, and system updates using
Ansible
or
Chef
.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance and cost of AWS services such as
EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC networking
.
Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and security teams to deliver reliable and secure cloud platforms.
Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for cloud resources and Kubernetes clusters.
Ensure compliance with security and governance standards across all AWS accounts.
Provide technical guidance, documentation, and mentoring to junior engineers when needed.
Requirements
2+ years of hands-on experience
managing AWS cloud environments in production.
Strong understanding of AWS core services:
EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, EKS
, CloudWatch, and Route53.
Experience operating
EKS clusters
and Kubernetes workloads, including deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in at least one
programming or scripting language
(e.g.,
Python, Go, or Bash
).
Experience with
Infrastructure as Code
tools such as
Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK
.
Familiarity with
configuration management tools
(e.g.,
Ansible, Chef
).
Solid knowledge of
Linux system administration
and shell scripting.
Experience working in
multi-account AWS environments
using AWS Organizations, Control Tower, or custom account management setups.
Good understanding of
cloud networking concepts
, including VPC, subnets, route tables, and security groups.
Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently with high ownership and accountability.
Excellent communication and documentation skills in English.
Nice to Have
AWS certification (e.g.,
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional
,
DevOps Engineer
, or
SysOps Administrator
).
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry).
Knowledge of CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Exposure to cost optimization, tagging strategies, or FinOps practices.
