We are seeking a motivated Technical Assistant to join our fiber optic product manufacturing team. In this role, you will support the Production Supervisor in setting up, testing, and commissioning production equipment, as well as assist in daily production operations once the line is established. You will gain hands-on experience with the entire fiber optic patch cord manufacturing process, from raw material handling to final product testing and quality control.
Job Description: Key Responsibilities:
· Equipment Setup \& Operation: Assist in the installation, calibration, and trial runs of production equipment; operate machines during daily production and perform routine checks, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure stable operations.
· Production Process: Participate in fiber optic patch cord manufacturing tasks such as fiber cutting, polishing, end-face preparation, assembly, and curing, progressively mastering the complete manufacturing process.
· Material \& Inventory Management: Support material handling, including receiving, issuing, tracking, and inventory control to ensure timely and accurate supply for production needs.
· Product Testing \& Quality Control: Conduct product performance tests (e.g., insertion loss, return loss), record and analyze test data, and assist in implementing quality assurance procedures.
· Process Improvement: Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to optimize production processes, suggest improvements, and contribute to higher efficiency and product quality.
· Safety \& Compliance: Follow all workplace safety guidelines and operating procedures, maintaining a safe and organized production environment.

Technical Assistant – Fiber Optic Manufacturing (Part-Time)
We are looking for a hands-on Technical Assistant to support our fiber optic patch cord manufacturing operations. This role focuses on equipment operation, fiber processing, and product testing, offering practical, on-the-job training across the full manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct fiber optic testing such as insertion loss and return loss measurements using standard test equipment.
Support basic troubleshooting of equipment and production issues.
Follow quality and safety procedures to ensure consistent product performance.

This is an initially part-time position.
Based on business growth and project development over the next few years, there is potential for long-term or full-time employment.
Strong performers will receive expanded technical training and may grow into roles such as Production Technician or Process Engineer.
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of fiber optic technology or strong interest in hands-on technical work.
Willingness to learn and work directly with tools, equipment, and production machinery.
Ability to perform precision manual tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Recent university graduates (engineering, telecom, electronics, or related fields) are a plus.
FOA CFOT or similar certification is an advantage but not required.
