About the Role
We’re looking for a motivated
Junior Data Technician
to support the operations of a large-scale data center for a major global IT organization (name withheld). This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their technical career who wants hands-on experience in hardware, networking fundamentals, and data center operations.
You will be part of the Data Center Operations (DCO) team, contributing to the maintenance, stability, and security of mission‑critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware \& Infrastructure Support (25%)
Assist with server installations, racking, and cabling
Support hardware diagnostics and component replacements
Help with break/fix activities under senior guidance
Ticket Handling \& Troubleshooting (25%)
Manage assigned trouble tickets within SLA guidelines
Provide first-line support for hardware-related issues
Escalate complex incidents to senior technicians or engineers
Routine Operations \& Vendor Coordination (50%)
Escort and supervise partner cloud providers, service vendors, and contractors
Perform inventory checks and update documentation
Participate in shift handovers and ensure accurate reporting
Additional Duties
Support scheduled maintenance and change management activities
Participate in on-call rotations for urgent issues
Follow strict safety, security, and operational procedures
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and install equipment up to
20 kg
Willingness to work in confined or elevated spaces following safety guidelines
Working Conditions
Strictly on-site
