TeleMedC is a diagnostic imaging solutions company using sophisticated retinal imaging. Our primary objective is to provide low-cost diagnostic solutions for point-of-care screening and virtual management of eye and chronic diseases throughout the world. We plan to bring portable hardware along with highly sophisticated automated local and cloud-based software worldwide. At this stage of development, we are focusing on primary care providers, community clinics and pharmacies to deliver low-cost, fully automated, portable retinal image grading technologies for virtual medical consultations, screening, monitoring and prevention of sight-threatening diseases and chronic diseases that can be diagnosed using retinal imaging such as Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Cataract, Stroke, Hypertension, etc.

Role

This role is critical to the effective delivery of applications, products and technology to TeleMedC customers and technology partners.  You will work directly with the VP of Technology, Product Manager(s), and the Engineering Team to implement new product features and capabilities.

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python (Django).

Collaborate closely with frontend engineers to deliver secure, high-performance features.

Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools.

Automate and manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

Deploy, monitor, and operate environments across AWS (ECS, EC2, RDS, VPC, Lambda, API Gateway, S3).

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code (unit, integration, and API tests).

Ensure high reliability, strong security, and smooth release processes.

What We’re Looking For

3–4 years of experience in backend or cloud engineering (AWS preferred).

Strong proficiency in Python and Django REST Framework.

Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL); NoSQL experience a plus.

Hands-on experience with microservices, serverless, Docker, and CI/CD workflows.

Bonus: Experience with React, Node.js, or similar JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and tools.
