We are currently seeking a delivery-focused, product minded individual with competency in software technologies and system integration to join our growing team as a Technical Product Mgr. Technical Product Mg, you will play a pivotal role in the product development lifecycle, ensuring our solutions meet market needs and drive business goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, and proactively find ways to support your team.
What you'll do* Work with the Product leadership and other Product Managers on aligning to the platform vision and strategy and contributing to overall future direction of the product.
Develop and maintain a product roadmap for integration solutions, ensuring it reflects customer needs and business priorities.
Collaborate with feature team to maximize the product value and ensure continuous improvement.
Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog.
Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts to ensure that business requirements and functional solutions are accurately translated into technical requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Balance the needs of the business, the customer and technology to make timely, validated and clear decisions regarding the product. (sometimes, saying ‘no’ or ‘not now” is the right answer):
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize business needs.
Facilitate stakeholder feedback sessions and incorporate feedback into the product development process.
Collaborate with Agile Delivery Manager and lead sprint planning sessions, ensuring the team understands the scope and priorities.
Participate in scrum ceremonies (eg. daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and demos)
Collaborate with engineers to establish feasibility and plan for the development of secure maintainable solution
Works with the colleagues in Product to communicate the release of new features and encourage effective adoption amongst userbase.
Coordinate with cross-portfolio teams to ensure the release process, including planning, scheduling, and communication.
Work closely with internal project managers and clients during system integration testing phases to ensure successful implementation.
What you bring* Completed post-secondary education in Business, Technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience required
5+ years of experience preferably in a technical oriented environment
Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role focusing on technical product applications
Solid understanding and work experience in Software Development Life Cycle
Experience with delivering technologic solutions using Agile methodologies
Proficiency with product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps)
A background in Absence and Disability, HR Management Services, Benefit Administration solutions would be ideal
Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Proven negotiation skills within internal and external team environments
Ability to discern the need for urgent delivery against effective discovery and validation
Demonstrated highly analytical and technical approach (this will be a more a technical product role, vs a customer facing role)
