What to Expect

As a Product Engineer, you focus on backend applications, intended for, but not limited to, the EMEA market. Implementing and improving new finance and sales-oriented applications, developed in-house, are a competitive advantage for our company and an essential part of our business.

You work together with various stakeholders from different business units to coordinate a collective product roadmap. You are subsequently co-responsible for the technical solution and the implementation of in-house solutions in the area of financial compliance. It is an exciting and demanding position that requires entrepreneurial, communicative and operational skills as well as the ability to work with many stakeholders.

What You'll Do* Responsible for the requirement gathering, design, analysis, training, testing, and the final outcomes.

Guide your stakeholders in defining and delivering clear requirements.

Translate complex local compliance into scalable, automated, reliable backend solutions.

Anticipate integration dependencies and unblock development team by closely working with program and other product teams.

Provide improvement recommendations that are based on best practices and industry standards, continuously monitor the new trends to inform decisions.

Prioritize contrasting needs based on the needs of the users.

Use a data-driven approach leading to the identification of clear problem statements and the implementation of potential solutions.

Delegate and monitor a range of tasks and requirements to a variety of product teams.

Raise the bar high for the quality of the product and the team, be an advocate of the customer.

Handle multiple projects and tasks in parallel and ensure smooth and capable execution.

What You'll Bring* Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, BA or other relevant Engineering subjects.

Minimum 2 years of experience with end-to-end product lifecycle, working in an Agile software product team.

Understanding of what makes a product great to use, efficient, scalable and maintainable.

Knowledge of sales and financial systems and familiarity with the European business environment in general.

Mastering the English language in both written and verbal form.

Aptitude to learn and challenge the status quo.

Clear, regular and effective communication with managers, stakeholders and internal team members in both written and verbal form.

Make decisions, understand tradeoffs, multitask, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-moving, collaborative environment.

Must be an advanced user in Office, JIRA, Confluence and Git (or equivalents).

Knowledge and proficiency querying and updating SQL and NoSQL databases.

Some flexibility in working hours is necessary because of different time-zones.
