This position is hybrid model in our São Bernardo do Campo unit.

Position Summary

The Software Engineer III is responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of complex software solutions. Their tasks include designing system architectures, writing and reviewing high-quality code, running advanced tests, and solving critical issues. Acts as a mentor for junior developers, promoting best practices and agile methodologies. With expertise in various technologies, it ensures the delivery of projects aligned with business objectives.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Design, implement, and optimize software algorithms for real-time systems;

Develop and maintain real-time software applications;

Write procedural, object-oriented, and scripting code (C, C++, Java, Ada, Python);

Maintain and refactor existing code to ensure high-quality standards;

Review and debug code to ensure optimal performance and adherence to best practices;

Utilize compilers effectively to optimize software performance;

Work within Linux environments (specifically RedHat-like or Rocky);

Develop tests as part of the "Test driven development" process to ensure code meets specifications and requirements;

Perform "Test driven specification" by defining requirements and specifications;

Test software continuously to ensure robustness, error-free functionality, and performance compliance;

Develop and maintain software specifications and documentation;

Design software solutions that meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements;

Ensure requirement traceability throughout the software development lifecycle;

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions;

Continuously update your technical knowledge and skills to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred;

Proven expertise in software specification, requirement traceability, and software architecture;

Strong knowledge on procedural languages (such as C);

Knowledge on object-oriented programming languages (such as C++, Java);

Knowledge on scripting languages like Python is a plus;

Extensive experience working in Linux environments (RedHat-like or Rocky);

In-depth understanding of software algorithms and their applications in real-time systems;

Experience with compilers and profiling tools;

Familiarity with ADA and Asterix protocols is a strong plus;

Experience with critical systems in aerospace, defense, or similar industries is highly desirable.
