Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Meter Installation Engineer, the appointee will mainly perform the following duties:
To perform low-voltage metering tasks, including installation, replacement, removal, and verification of tariff meters and associated metering equipment, ensuring service targets are met and the reliability as well as accuracy of metering systems are maintained
To conduct inspections and prepare report for customers’ low-voltage electrical installations prior to energisation, ensuring compliance with the Electricity Ordinance and other relevant statutory requirements
To investigate and resolve power quality issues, ensuring that service standards are consistently achieved
Requirements:
Higher Diploma/ Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related disciplines
A minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience
Registered Electrical Worker (REW) preferred
Sound knowledge of the Electricity Ordinance, Code of Practice for the Electricity (Wiring) Regulations, other relevant statutory requirements, and HK Electric’s Supply Rules
Good communication skill with a customer-oriented mindset
Good command of Chinese and English
Holder of a valid driving license an advantage
Candidates with higher qualification may be considered for the position of Engineer III.
