Are you looking to work in a 4 star environment to take your first step into management with an overview of the F\&B and Events department? We are looking to expand our team due to continued growth. We are looking for an all rounded Duty Manager to assist the Operations Manager in making a real difference day to day and to oversee the whole hotel predominantly the Food and Beverage department whilst on shift, including the service of the restaurant, wedding and events service, afternoon tea, bar and room service.
As an Duty Manager you will be confident in all aspects of hotel management with a particular focus on F\&B. You will need to have a keen eye for detail, be an effective communicator and an ability to implement company standards. You will be organised and react promptly and efficiently as requested to meet the needs of the business.
There will be aspects of duty management involved in the role and you will be exposed to front office management, thus giving you the tools in the future to progress.
Reporting directly to the hotels Operations Manager, the role of Duty Manager has responsibility for the management and operation of all aspects of the hotel whilst on duty, with the support of department heads and hotel management team. The perfect candidate would be able to demonstrate:
· Hands on leader is a must for this fast paced role
· Responsibility for; Bar \& Lounge service standards with the Operations Manager, Restaurant operations, Afternoon tea, and Room Service
· Assisting with Staffing – recruitment/rotas/deployments planning
· Ability to manage and inspire a team of dedicated employees
· Achievement of 4 Star service standards
· F\&B service standards to match 2 Rosette food rating
· Hosting and delivering service to wedding, conference and leisure guests
· Food hygiene management in all service areas
· Compilation, implementation, training and coaching of all service standards
· Development of product and technical knowledge in teams by regular briefings/training sessions
· A passion for coaching, training and developing their team
· Involvement with all operational departments both F\&B and FOH during completion of Duty Management shifts
· Proven record of stability in job roles.
This role would suit an up and coming F\&B Supervisor looking to develop into a luxury hotel environment with quality as the forefront of his or her focus area.
The role will be approx 45 hours per week 5 over 7 with a variety of shifts.
What you’ll need
Previous experience of managing in a similar quality of hospitality establishment. Previous experience within hotel environment would be highly beneficial, although will consider candidates who excel within other hospitality businesses. You must be flexible to meet the needs of the business and demonstrate a passion for the sector.

Hours are mainly evening and weekend based, set out on a rota basis, however these can be varied as per the business needs.
