Job Description

We are searching for a skilled and enthusiastic cook to become a valued member of our team. We offer attractive work hours, with regular weekends off, and a total of 40 hours per week.

Main Duties

Work in the kitchen area to cook, prepare, and assemble food onto plates.

Ensure that all items are produced according to the specified guidelines.

Collaborate effectively with the team.

Assist with menu development.

Help meet production targets as established by Line Managers.

Maintain awareness of the department and possess knowledge of customer products and requirements.

Implement HACCP processes throughout all kitchen, store, and serving areas. The team must be fully aware of these processes, and all HACCP records must be accurately completed to meet relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices.

Audit HACCP Records in satellite services completing monitoring reports and complete spot checks.

Safeguard the quality of products at all times to promote a safe and hygienic workplace.

Work in the back rooms when required.

Follow recipes to prepare and cook products to specification.

Assemble meals to specification.

Ensure thorough cleaning and sanitization of kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils to maintain health and safety standards.

Conduct deep cleaning of the kitchen area on a regular basis to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a hygienic work environment.

Manage the disposal of kitchen waste in a timely and hygienic manner, adhering to environmental and safety protocols.

Monitor and maintain cleanliness in food storage areas to prevent spoilage and ensure proper stock rotation.

Participate in scheduled kitchen cleaning rosters and encourage a culture of cleanliness among the team.

Salary: €15.75 per hour

Location: The Pavilion Bar Trinity College, College Green, South-East Inner City, Dublin

Skills:

Beneficial Food Safety / HACCP Certificate

2+ years of experience working as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills

The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, ability to multi task under pressure
