Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Web Developer to join our dynamic Web Development team. With a solid foundation in WordPress and WooCommerce, you will be responsible for developing and supporting a range of websites, with the ability to create custom themes, write plugins, and script functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full lifecycle web development, from specification to build, testing, release, and maintenance.
Execute technical website optimisations based on recommendations from tools like Lighthouse and Page Speed Insights.
Demonstrate advanced proficiency in PHP and Javascript, with experience in JS frameworks.
Administer and troubleshoot MySQL databases.
Implement API integrations and work with third-party REST APIs.
Perform QA and testing to ensure high standards of deliverables.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of modern web technologies and best practices.
Communicate project progress and challenges effectively with the team and clients.
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 2 years of practical web development experience.
Expertise in WordPress and WooCommerce
Experience with GIT for version control and project deployment across multiple environments.
Familiarity with web server technologies, including Apache/nginx, SSL/TLS, HTTP, and SMTP.
Competency in CLI server administration and authentication.
Knowledge of UX best practices and awareness of SEO and PPC principles.
Proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the capacity to support the team in generating solutions.
