Job Description
What to Bring:
5+ years experience in software engineering
4-year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent technical degree/experience
Experience in one modern front-end web framework such as
Angular, React, or Vue.
Experience building RESTful services with
NodeJS/NestJS, Java/Spring
, or other server-side programming platform
Understanding of data persistence technologies such as
SQL/Postgres.
Familiarity with writing unit tests, integration tests, and functional tests
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a team-focused approach toward software development
Self-learner, independent, excellent problem-solving skills
Understanding of source control concepts and exposure to Git and Jenkins
Nice to Haves:
Proven track record leading UI initiatives as a software engineer
Experience building Angular Front Ends with
NestUS Backends

Understanding of async programming models (Observables, promises, async/await, callbacks)
Familiarity with infrastructure as code such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
Familiarity with AWS Services including S3, EC2, RDS, and Lambdas.
Exposure to Docker
Understanding of data migration tools such as Prisma or Flyway.
Roles \& Responsibilities
Work with a team of engineers building software in a collaborative, full-stack development process.
Participate in high-level architecture discussions and planning sessions to make sure our software solutions meet product requirements.
Build Core UI Screens and backend software components in our metadata enrichment platform.
Build and manage code in AWS using TerraForm, Spinnaker, Jenkins, Docker, and other CI/CD Tools.
Collaborate with other team members (including product owners, TPMs, and other stakeholders) to achieve product and business requirements
Participate in the code review process by providing feedback on pull requests
Participate in on-call rotations, supporting systems, and services during production incidents
