Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Bar and Store Manager to join their team in Whangārei. As a Manager, you will be responsible for planning, leading, organising, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store.

What we offer:

· Minimum of 30 hours per week

· Hourly pay rate of $33.60 – $36.60

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

· Overseeing and coordinating the overall operations of the store to ensure efficient and effective performance.

· Planning product range, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, and ensuring high standards of customer service.

· Establishing and applying purchasing, pricing, and marketing strategies to support business growth and profitability.

· Organising and delivering promotional and advertising activities to increase sales and customer engagement.

· Assisting with sales activities, responding to customer enquiries, and providing advice on products and services.

· Monitoring and maintaining accurate records related to stock control, sales, and financial transactions.

· Preparing, managing, and reviewing budgets, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions to improve financial performance.

· Recruiting, selecting, training, scheduling, and supervising staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

· Ensuring compliance with the Sale of Liquor Act and all licensing obligations.

· Liaising with customers, suppliers, staff, sales representatives, and regulatory authorities.

· Developing, implementing, and maintaining operational policies and procedures to support business objectives.

· Managing security of the premises and ensuring all procedures are followed consistently by staff.

· Ensuring all workplace practices comply with health and safety requirements and relevant legislation.

Role requirements:

· A minimum of three years’ relevant work experience or a tertiary qualification

· Strong communication skills

· Proven leadership and team motivation abilities

· Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required

· A current Liquor Controller Qualification (LCQ) and Manager’s Certificate
