Job Description

The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) across all business areas. The role ensures that all products, processes, and suppliers meet Glatz’s standards for quality, safety, and reliability. The position requires a proactive and structured individual with a strong process mindset, capable of fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Establish, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards.

Plan, coordinate, and execute internal and external audits, ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Develop and maintain quality control procedures and ensure compliance throughout the supply chain—from procurement to final delivery.

Lead and coordinate supplier audits and manage supplier performance and qualification.

Investigate non-conformities, define root causes, and implement effective improvement measures.

Monitor and report quality KPIs and performance trends to management.

Collaborate closely with Production, Procurement, Sales, and Logistics to ensure consistent product and service quality.

Maintain up-to-date quality documentation (SOPs, work instructions, process maps).

Manage customer complaints and ensure timely and professional resolution.

Provide training and guidance to employees to strengthen the internal quality culture.

Liaise with external certification bodies and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

Degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related technical field.

5–10 years of relevant experience in quality management, ideally within food, feed, or commodities trading/manufacturing sectors.

Solid knowledge of ISO 9001 (experience with ISO 14001, HACCP, or GMP is an asset).

Proven track record in managing audits, supplier quality, and continuous improvement projects.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Fluent in English and German (both written and spoken).

Confident user of MS Office and QMS tools.
