About You
Be the go-to AI specialist and 2IC to a forward-thinking Director whoâs leading the digital transformation of a market-leading construction consultancy. What youâll do:
Act as the 2IC to the AI-focused Director, helping shape and deliver the companyâs AI roadmap.
Work closely with internal teams to understand workflows, identify automation opportunities, and design practical AI-driven solutions.
Develop and integrate AI tools into existing systems (APIs, in-house platforms, Microsoft environment).
Prepare and structure business data for AI workflows and chat solutions.
Support and train colleagues to adopt AI tools and feel confident in the transformation.
Monitor, refine, and optimise AI solutions for accuracy, performance and security.
What weâre looking for:
1â2 yearsâ commercial software development experience (AI/ML or automation a plus).
Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot and fix issues early.
Excellent communication skills you can explain complex technical ideas in a simple, engaging way.
Understanding of Python; familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and system integrations.
Exposure to Microsoft Azure AI services (AI Foundry, Cognitive Services, Logic Apps, Functions).
Curious, adaptable, and excited to take a business on its AI journey from understanding needs to implementing solutions.
(Weâre open to candidates based in Auckland or Hamilton. Initially, youâll work mostly in the office to learn the business and systems; flexibility grows as you develop capability and confidence.)
