Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a DevOps Engineer based in Auckland. The DevOps Engineer will manage infrastructure as code (IaC), streamline software development processes, implement continuous integration pipelines, and handle system administration tasks. The role involves maintaining Linux environments, ensuring high availability, and optimizing system performance across production and development environments. You will lead migrating from Openshift to Azure kubernetes platform.

Key Responsibilities
Architect scalable and secure Azure solutions using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
Expert level in use of Terraform
Nexus repository \& ArgoCD Experience must o have
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins,
Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, ARM templates, and Bicep.
Integrate monitoring and logging using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and Grafana.
Manage identity and access using Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and Privileged Identity Management.
Implement security controls with Azure Security Center, Key Vault, Sentinel, and Defender for Cloud.
Optimize performance and cost using Azure Advisor, Cost Management, and Autoscale.
Lead container orchestration using AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) and Docker.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless cloud adoption and governance.
Mandatory Skills
Extensive experience in Azure architecture and migration.
Strong scripting and automation skills (Powershell Scripting, Bash, Python).
Proven experience with Managing Infra using terraform and DevOps practices.
Deep understanding of Azure Cloud security and compliance frameworks.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana and AppDynamics Analytics.
Knowledge of networking components like Azure Virtual Network and Load Balancer.
Experience with container orchestration tools like Azure Kubernetes Service and Docker.
Azure certifications (AZ 305, AZ 400, AZ 500) are highly preferred.
Qualifications
5+ years in cloud architecture with hands on Azure experience.
Strong scripting and automation skills (Powershell Scripting, Bash, Python).
