About The Team
The Application Experiences org builds products that help communities connect with each other, and ways for viewers to find and interact with their favourite content. We are exploring how we can evolve the mobile experience, as well as deliver performant and delightful experiences across mobile and web.
About The Role
On our team youâll be primarily working to improve our Application Performance, making our mobile experiences faster. We also own and support Twitch Chat, youâll be working with large-scale services and partnering with other teams at Twitch regularly. This position is primarily focused on frontend development (React) but is expected to be fullstack, with some responsibilities around supporting and maintaining backend systems.
You Will:
Work with product managers, technical leads, and other engineers to design, develop, launch, and operate interactive experiences
Investigate, instrument and solve performance problems
Build distributed applications at scale
Collaborate with both your team and related teams - fostering shared understanding of how to solve common problems and deliver solutions
Work backwards from customer problems to drive business impact
You Have:
1+ Years experience developing software in a professional environment
Prior experience building consumer-facing products at scale
Proficient coding skills in modern languages and frameworks such as React, Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C etc
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum of Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Bonus Points
Familiarity with AWS infrastructure
Experience with languages/frameworks we use at Twitch: React, Typescript, Golang
Experience with mobile development (although, this is not a mobile development role)
Experience building software and services using AWS technologies such as ECS, DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS, and Step Functions
Familiarity with Twitch, gaming, and/or streaming on Twitch

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
