Senior QA Engineer

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 MXN gross monthly
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer / QA Lead to lead software quality and testing strategies. This role will be responsible for defining and implementing test plans, driving test automation, ensuring high-quality standards, and mentoring the QA team through best practices and continuous improvement. The position will work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
Main Responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation, and execution of test strategies and test plans.
Define, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks, with a strong focus on Cypress.
Develop and maintain automated tests using Cypress, JMeter, and Postman.
Conduct code reviews and provide feedback on quality, testability, and best practices.
Analyze test results, identify risks, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure quality across the SDLC.
Drive the adoption of QA best practices, standards, and processes.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in software testing and quality assurance.
Mentor and guide junior and mid-level QA engineers.
Technical skills
Strong hands-on experience with Cypress and TypeScript.
Advanced knowledge of JMeter, Jest, and Postman.
Expertise in end-to-end, API, and performance/load testing.
Proven ability to design, write, and execute complex test cases and automated test scripts.
Solid knowledge of SQL and database testing.
Experience using Jira or similar test management and tracking tools.
Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
Familiarity with AWS CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and QA tools.
