ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a central function within Operations, dedicated to optimizing the Uber Rides marketplace across Latin America (LATAM). Investment, pricing, incentives, and allocation are core to ensuring an excellent daily experience for drivers and riders. The role requires translating Uber's overall business strategy into local execution, owning city-specific business outcomes, and ensuring the marketplace is competitive and efficient. Requires strong business acumen, analytical capabilities, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
WHAT YOU'LL DO Strategy \& Investment:* Develop and execute the marketplace pricing, incentives, and allocation strategy to optimize market balance, manage large investments, and drive sustainable growth across the LATAM region.
Data Analysis \& Performance: Conduct data analyses, monitor competitive trends, and build and track key financial metrics and KPIs to uncover actionable insights and inform strategic business decisions.
Stakeholder \& Cross-Functional Management: Foster and maintain relationships with regional, local, and global partners (including Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Operations) to align on investment strategies, operational priorities, and ensure seamless execution of business goals.
Executional Excellence: Manage and accomplish multiple high-priority tasks in parallel, delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED Experience:* 3+ years of professional experience in operations, strategy, analytics, or a related field, with direct experience in marketplace dynamics, pricing, incentive strategy, or investment allocation.
Technical \& Analytical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, querying, and analysis. Demonstrated data-driven mentality, balancing detailed data work with seeing the big picture. Basic statistics knowledge is essential. SQL/Python/Experimentation/Problem Solving/Logic.
Communication \& Teamwork: English proficiency. Ability to interpret, present data, and effectively communicate findings, strategies, and recommendations in a clear, succinct manner to various audiences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in Python or any other scripting language for data automation or advanced analysis.
