We are looking for a QC Microbiology \& Environmental Monitoring Manager who is strategic, collaborative, and quality-driven to join us in our Patient Supply Quality Control team, based in our UCB office in Bulle, Switzerland.
About the role
Lead the Microbiology \& Environmental Monitoring team to ensure quality control of utilities and environmental conditions in the site's production areas, as well as quality monitoring of biologic products. Drive operational excellence through strategic alignment, team development, and cross-functional collaboration with Production, Technical Services, Supply Chain, and QA.
Who youâll work with
Youâll be part of the Patient Supply Quality Control department and collaborate closely with the Bulle Site Leadership Team, Production, Supply Chain, Technical Services, and Quality Assurance to ensure compliance and performance.
What youâll do
Define and implement microbiology and environmental monitoring strategy
Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure operational efficiency
Manage budget planning and financial oversight for QC operations
Ensure inspection readiness and compliance with global regulations
Develop KPIs to monitor and improve team performance
Empower and grow team capabilities through coaching and feedback
Interested? For this role weâre looking for the following education, experience and skills
Masterâs degree in a scientific discipline
Proven experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environments
Strong knowledge of microbiological and analytical techniques
Experience with FDA, EMA, and Japanese regulatory inspections
Excellent communication skills in French and English
Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
