Onsite position based in Callaghan.

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll work in sprints to support the development, deployment, and optimisation of integration solutions across the University’s digital platforms. Working with technologies such as MuleSoft, AWS, and Microsoft Fabric, you'll help build secure, scalable, and reliable integrations that enable research, education, and community engagement.

This role reports to the Chief Digital Officer as part of Digital Technology Solutions (DTS), you’ll contribute to a team that is delivering cutting-edge, cost-effective digital services and positioning itself as a trusted integrator, broker, and innovator in line with the University’s New Futures Strategic Plan.

What you’ll do:

Work in agile sprints to develop and deploy integration solutions using MuleSoft, AWS, and related toolsets.

Collaborate with colleagues to support and enhance platform pipelines and CI/CD practices for integration projects.

Troubleshoot integration issues, enhance performance, and contribute to monitoring and reporting improvements.

Help build and maintain reusable APIs, automations, and integration patterns.

Share knowledge and support junior team members.

Ensure integration solutions meet security, operability, and compliance standards.

Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality, consistent integration outcomes.

Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and agile ways of working.

What we’re looking for

Strong technical expertise in programming, system integration, or database administration.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and alerting mechanisms, and automation.

Knowledge of Agile and DevOps best practices and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Problem-solving and diagnostic skills with the ability to work independently under broad direction.

Experience engaging with stakeholders and building effective working relationships.

Awareness of contemporary cybersecurity practices and commitment to secure, high-quality delivery.

This full-time position is a fixed term until November 2026 role at a HEW 6 Higher Education Level located at Callaghan Campus.
