The Office of Research Information Systems is seeking a Software Development Engineer III. The Software Engineer will provide a primary role in the development and support of research applications. The primary applications, the Electronic Research Integrity \& Compliance (ERICA) System and Business Relationship Reporting (BRR), are developed from the Huron Click Research Suite for use in Conflict of Interest (COI) and Institutional Review Board (IRB).

Responsibilities
Design, program, build, deploy, and maintain software applications and systems such as databases, cloud, or operating systems.
Analyze and modify existing software as well as design, construct, and test end-user applications that meet user needs.
Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design.
Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and started organizationās requirements.
Support, maintain, and document software functionality.
Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation.
Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed.
Consult with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.
Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline.
Conduct complex, important work under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgement.
Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCYSTATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelorās degree \= 4 years of directly related work experience).
Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:
Software Development Engineer, III: Requires a bachelorās (or equivalency) + 6 years or a masterās (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
Software Development Engineer, IV: Requires a bachelorās (or equivalency) + 8 years or a masterās (or equivalency) + 6 years of directly related work experience.
Preferences
Experience with Azure DevOps and Visual Studio
Experience with Server Maintenance
Huron experience a plus
