Key Tasks \& Responsibilities:
· Carry out maintenance repairs and modifications on Rail Mounted Gantry Cranes (RMG), Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes (RTG), Spreaders and other plant and equipment.
· Perform regular test, inspections and maintenance of cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment and collect test data for analysis.
· Rebuild, replace, or repair major equipment components, mechanical assemblies, and hydraulic control systems.
· Maintain and update records of work performed on equipment to track service history.
· Interpret technical drawings and identify appropriate tooling and techniques to implement modifications or repairs.
· Correct unsafe conditions and housekeeping problems in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.
· Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures.
· Perform estimates of material costs and quantities.
· Work closely with engineers and other team members to coordinate and complete projects.
· Respond to work requests in a timely manner as per assigned KPIs.
· Ensure strict compliance with company policy and procedures at all times.
· Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties.
Qualifications:
Electrical Engineering Technicians must have the ability to read and understand electrical drawings (control circuits) as well as experience on PLC and inverters
Spreader experience will be an advantage
An engineering-related tertiary qualification will be highly regarded
Strong communication and English language proficiency skills (written and verbal)
A desire to learn and be trained for potential opportunities to work on international projects
Must be available to work shift patterns, overtime and travel to conduct works onsite as required
Exceptional problem-solving skills and focus.
