Job Summary

We are building a modern cloud platform that integrates AWS serverless technologies, containerized services in EKS, React-based UIs, and emulated device firmware running in orchestrated Kubernetes environments. This platform enables large-scale automated workflows, intelligent orchestration, and seamless end-to-end interaction between cloud services, user interfaces, and device simulations.

We are seeking an Intermediate Software Quality Assurance – Platform who will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of these cloud APIs, UI experiences, and automated firmware orchestration systems. You will test distributed services, containerized environments, and user-facing applications that together form a critical part of our cloud platform.

Responsibilities

Design and execute test plans for cloud APIs, orchestration pipelines, microservices, and user-facing React UIs

Validate REST/GraphQL API behavior, error handling, performance, and cross-service interactions

Test emulated firmware executing in Kubernetes (EKS) and verify orchestration workflows

Build automated test suites (Python or TypeScript preferred) for APIs, UI flows, and containerized services

Develop end-to-end tests that cover full cloud: orchestration, firmware, UI workflows

Work closely with developers to understand features, identify risks, and ensure testability

Investigate failures across logs, microservices, cloud services, and containerized components

Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and system-level troubleshooting

Contribute to documentation of test cases, quality processes, deployment validation, and automation coverage

Required Skills / Qualifications

5+ years of professional QA or software engineering experience

Experience testing cloud applications, distributed systems, or microservice architectures

Solid understanding of REST APIs, request flows, and API testing methodologies

Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks (pytest, Playwright, Cypress, Jest, etc.)

Familiarity with BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) frameworks such as Cucumber, Behave, or SpecFlow.

Strong proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript for automated test development

Ability to design clear, maintainable test scenarios and validation logic

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated test suites

Ability to debug complex issues using logs, traces, and cloud monitoring tools

Experience with Git, branching strategies, and collaborative development workflows

Skilled in Kubernetes validation (EKS preferred), troubleshooting container logs, pod behavior, and service interconnectivity. Knowledgeable in event-driven and orchestrated workflows, Terraform, CloudFormation, and infrastructure-as-code practices, with a strong interest in cloud-native architectures.

UI Testing: Proficient in testing React components and user flows, using automation tools like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, and Testing Library. Familiar with front-end architecture, state management, API integration, and validating UI performance, accessibility, and responsiveness.

Firmware \& Orchestration Testing: Experienced in embedded systems and firmware simulation testing, including device emulators, hardware abstraction layers, and digital twin environments. Skilled in orchestrating automated test environments in Kubernetes and validating cloud-device interactions, with the ability to assess correctness, timing, and sequencing of orchestrated workflows.

Nice-to-Have: Exposure to event-driven architectures (SNS, SQS, EventBridge), containerization workflows (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes), performance, load, and stress testing, observability tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry), and designing reusable automated test frameworks.

No prior AI or AWS experience? Candidates eager to learn will be supported and gain hands-on exposure in production.
