Delta Medical International a small but growing business supplying medical equipment and supplies to the NHS and internationally to distributors worldwide. We are now in the process of planning the next stage of the company’s development with the opening of a new office to accommodate the administration and operations functions of the business. Delta Medical specialises in the neonatal, maternity and paediatric sector, making this an important and rewarding role.
Reporting directly to one of the Directors of the company, the role of Office Manager will become a vital position in the continued growth of the business. This role requires a candidate who is flexible and versatile, able to cope with a variety of tasks, and with excellent communication skills. Previous experience of sales administration and/or book-keeping would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will depend on the candidate but will include some or all of the following (training will be given where necessary)
Answering phone calls
Order processing
Packing products
Organising shipments
Preparing export paperwork
Managing stock levels
Raising supplier orders
Checking and booking in stock
Issuing customer invoices
Chasing overdue invoices
Maintaining all sales and ordering records
Responding to customer enquiries (in conjunction with the Sales \& Marketing Director)
Raising quotes from standard price list
Updating company sales records and producing reports
Assisting with marketing activities
Supporting overseas distributors
Requirements
Proven experience in office administration or related roles
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with professional phone etiquette
Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
Personality and initiative are key qualities required
Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
Knowledge of accounts or book-keeping would be an advantage
This role is ideal for a motivated individual seeking a varied position within a professional setting.
Hours are flexible to suit the successful candidate, but envisaged a 5 part-time days.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £18,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 25 per week
