The Role:

We’re hiring a Backend Software Engineer to join our engineering team.

You’ll help evolve the distributed, event-sourced platform that powers Efimis — delivering core business functionality, scaling multi-tenant workloads, and collaborating closely with frontend and AI engineers to bring new capabilities to life.

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and maintain backend services in C# / .NET

Build and extend components within our event-sourced, actor-based architecture (MongoDB / Azure SQL / Elasticsearch)

Contribute to domain modelling, API design, and data consistency across distributed services

Optimise performance, reliability, and scalability for our multi-tenant SaaS product

Collaborate with Frontend, DevOps, and Product teams on feature delivery and release readiness

Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

Strong proficiency in C# / .NET and modern backend development practices

Solid understanding of SQL Server and ideally MongoDB / Elasticsearch

Experience building distributed or event-driven systems (CQRS, actor models, or messaging patterns)

Knowledge of RESTful APIs, data integrity, and performance tuning

Familiarity with CI/CD and containerised environments (you’ll work closely with DevOps but not own infrastructure)

Bonus: interest in event sourcing, Akka.NET, or domain-driven design
