Job description
The VP of R\&D / R\&D Manager will be accountable for leading and managing a team of front-end and back-end developers. You will oversee day-to-day operations, manage workloads, support team members in resolving challenges, and act as the escalation point for any technical or operational issues. You will also play a key role in hiring, onboarding, and mentoring talent to drive both technical excellence and business delivery.Key Responsibilities:* Guide, mentor, and support all development teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.
Drive successful execution of projects by managing schedules, resources, dependencies, and risks.
Balance business delivery priorities with maintaining high technical standards.
Oversee career development and growth of team members, including regular performance evaluations and feedback.
Provide technical leadership to team leads and developers, ensuring consistent coding standards, architecture, and practices.
Drive continuous improvement in engineering productivity, scalability, reliability, quality, and performance.
Collaborate with managers, product owners, and software architects to plan, design, develop, and maintain web and desktop business applications.
Ensure solutions are delivered on time without compromising quality.
Lead implementation of new architectural designs and improve existing product structures.
Your skills and experience
4+ years of professional development experience in the .NET stack. 2+ years of experience in a team leadership role.
Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to translate customer needs into simple, effective solutions.
Working knowledge of MSSQL databases; experience with Postgres or DynamoDB is a plus.
Strong teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Fluent English.
Preferred / Advantageous Skills:* Familiarity with multiple programming and scripting languages (e.g., React, JavaScript, Python).
Experience with cloud technologies and services.
