Role Overview:
We are seeking a
Kubernetes DevOps Engineer
with 6–8 years of experience to ensure the operational health, security, and reliability of Kubernetes-based environments. The role focuses on cluster maintenance, security compliance, CI/CD improvements, and close collaboration with development teams to deliver secure and efficient cloud-native workloads.
This position plays a key role in maintaining the stability of containerized environments, enhancing delivery pipelines, and ensuring compliance with industry security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Cluster Operations:
Maintain and upgrade Kubernetes clusters and associated infrastructure.
Ensure compliance and resolve CVEs through regular updates of cluster components and dependencies.
Container Image Management:
Rebuild and redeploy container images as part of regular maintenance cycles.
Manage base images and application dependencies.
CI/CD Enhancements:
Improve and support CI/CD workflows for Kubernetes workloads.
Automate security and compliance checks to streamline deployments.
Security \& Compliance:
Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities in container images and cluster configurations.
Implement best practices for security and compliance.
Collaboration:
Work closely with development teams to align platform updates with application lifecycles.
Troubleshooting \& Support:
Diagnose and resolve issues impacting production workloads.
Ensure high availability and reliability of services.
Documentation:
Maintain operational runbooks and process documentation.
Required Skills \& Experience:
Strong understanding of
Kubernetes
architecture and operations.
Experience with container image management tools such as
Docker
or BuildKit.
Expertise in CI/CD tools like
GitLab CI
,
Argo CD
,
Jenkins
, or
Concourse
.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Helm, Kustomize,
Terraform
).
Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, Go).
Experience with observability and monitoring tools like
Prometheus
and
Grafana
.
Optional / Desirable Skills:
Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
Knowledge of Kubernetes security best practices (e.g., Pod Security, Network Policies).
Experience with service meshes (e.g.,
Istio
,
Linkerd
).
Exposure to major cloud platforms:
Amazon Web Services
,
Microsoft Azure
,
OpenStack
, or
Google Cloud Platform
.
Experience contributing to open-source or upstream Kubernetes projects.
