uStudio seeks an energetic and creative full stack engineer to join our product and platform team and help us improve our platform and family of innovative products.
As a company, our goal is straightforward: evolve enterprise communication beyond traditionally text-based solutions through our secure media applications including podcasting, live streaming, and media distribution. As a development team, we support this goal by building a family of web and mobile applications and intuitive APIs. We employ test-driven development and pair-programming to ensure our code is robust and iteration-friendly while collaborating to identify and refine solutions to our customers’ problems.
uStudio approaches software as a lifecycle where engineers participate across all stages: planning, sizing, development, testing, deploying, and supporting. Engineers deploy their own code and consider monitoring, resilience, and risk throughout the lifecycle of feature development. As such, we encourage pair programming and require peer review, automated testing, and collaboration with product and design to ensure we are delivering the highest quality to our customers.

You:
Have experience in one or more modern programming language(s). (Python and Javascript are a plus.)
Have experience deploying to / architecting for modern cloud environments (GCP, AWS, etc.)
Are familiar with one or more database technologies (SQL / MongoDB / Redis / BigQuery / etc.)
Have experience building API-powered applications (preferably REST, but not a requirement)
(Extra points) Have experience with React Native mobile application development
Are motivated to collaboratively and pragmatically solve enterprise-level application challenges
Enjoy healthy discussions about efficient and maintainable implementations
Explore (and invite feedback on) potential development paths before churning out code
Write tests (preferably first) to prove your code fulfills the requirements
