Your mission

Be part of aviation history at VÆRIDION, where we’re pioneering the world’s first electric nine-seater aircraft! As an Operational Infrastructure Engineer (all genders), you'll play a pivotal role in establishing and operating our manufacturing and test facility, where VÆRIDION manufactures its revolutionary propulsion battery, as well as integrates and tests the entire electric propulsion system. You’ll oversee the technical readiness of infrastructure and equipment, support facility upgrades, and ensure that all systems - from power distribution to environmental controls - are optimized for high-performance battery production \& testing. You’ll work closely with manufacturing, testing, safety, and engineering teams to create a robust and scalable facility environment.

Your Day-to-Day

FacilityPlanning and Implementation:

  • Assess and validate existing infrastructure and equipment for operational readiness.

  • Design and layout industrial facilities upgrades with a focus on workflow optimization, scalability, equipment placement, and compliance with safety regulations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including architects, engineers, and contractors — to ensure seamless execution of facility setups and expansion initiatives.

  • Coordinate installation and commissioning of new machinery and utilities.

  • Implement practical, short-term solutions to support interim manufacturing and testing needs in a fast-paced growth environment.

Maintenance Oversight:

  • Plan and oversee routine and preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Establish and manage all required documentation for facilities and equipment.

Support and Best Practices:

  • Promote and uphold a culture of safety across industrial facilities.

  • Develop, document, and maintain best practices to enhance facility operations.

  • Handle ad-hoc projects and assignments with flexibility and innovation.

Your profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experienced with industrial facility infrastructure and technical building equipment (TGA).

Familiarity with greenfield and brownfield factory setups for production and testing, ideally within the aerospace or automotive industries.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously within defined timelines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, equipment vendors, and contractors.

Proficiency with software tools for factory layout planning and technical building equipment is a plus.

VÆRIDION is a fast-growing deep tech start-up based in Munich, Germany. Since the restrictions by law on CO2 emissions for domestic and short-haul air travel will stimulate Green Regional Air Mobility, we believe it's our mission to provide an aircraft for Zero emission regional flights.
