We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Frontend Platform team. This teamâs mission is to build tooling for all engineers to easily ship and maintain quality and perforant frontend experiences that are resilient to changing business needs. By focusing on fast web builds, reliable testing, app performance monitoring, and solid versioning and modularity in our codebase, this team helps lay the foundation for all engineers to contribute better code, faster.
In this role, youâll be focusing on foundational improvements to and technology investments in our frontend tech stack to make all engineers more productive, and our web client more performant. You will also play a key role in shaping the culture of frontend engineering and talent at Vanta.
As an Engineering Manager, youâll be responsible for setting strategy, leading your team to deliver results consistently and sustainably, growing and developing talented engineers, and cultivating a healthy, results-driven culture on your team to deliver significant value to our customers and enable our business to scale.

What youâll do as an Engineering Manager at Vanta:
Manage and mentor a team of engineers focused on developing world-class developer productivity tools and infrastructure.
Define and implement strategies for improvements in frontend infrastructure, developer tooling, and release processes to enable rapid innovation while upholding high-security standards.
Drive the adoption and integration of tools, services, and APIs built by the team across the codebase.
Stay abreast of emerging web and frontend technologies and assess their applicability in streamlining development processes and client performance.
Work closely with stakeholders to deeply understand developer and client needs, identifying and implementing solutions that support secure and efficient development.
Design and refine processes that enhance team operations and continuously improve developer productivity as the organization scales.
Champion best practices for web clients and frontend stacks.
How to be successful in this role:
3+ years of experience managing technical teams of six or more engineers.
Proven track record in building and improving frontend infrastructure and tooling for developers.
Deep knowledge of modern development practices, developer tooling, and current web best practices and industry standards.
Strong leadership abilities with experience in hiring, mentoring, and growing senior engineers.
Excellent communication skills to build consensus with stakeholders and articulate the value of frontend infra and developer tools.
Experience planning, scoping, and executing on cross-org migrations with an emphasis on limiting migration cost to consumers.
