VideoTutor is one of the fastest-rising AI education startups in Silicon Valley, backed by an $11M seed round from top VCs. The Full Stack Engineer will build core product features across the stack, influence product direction, and own projects end-to-end in a fast-moving startup environment.
Responsibilities
Build core product features across the stack, shaping the foundation of VideoTutor’s AI learning experience
Rapidly prototype, iterate, and ship production-ready functionality in a fast-moving startup environment
Work directly with the founders to influence product direction, system architecture, and engineering culture
Own projects end-to-end — from idea to implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
3+ years of full-stack engineering experience
Highly proficient in Next.js and React, including SSR/ISR, data fetching, and caching strategies
Ability to design clean, scalable backend APIs and structure database schemas optimized for both read and write performance
Comfortable with production deployment, scaling, and monitoring, and able to evaluate trade-offs across different infrastructure/devops solutions (e.g., Vercel, AWS, serverless, containers)
Preferred
Strong preference for candidates with startup experience
Bonus: experience with performance optimization, auth/permissions, and CI/CD automation
