JOB DESCRIPTION
Viettel High Tech is seeking talented Software Engineers to join our Backend, Frontend, and DevOps teams. You will work on large-scale, mission-critical platforms across multiple domains, including:
Camera AI \& Video Analytics
Internet of Things (IoT) systems:
Vehicle and fleet monitoring systems
Maritime and vessel monitoring systems
Smart water meters and utility monitoring platforms
Platform \& Cloud Services
Smarthome, Smart City, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
Depending on your role, your responsibilities may include:
Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services, frontend applications, or DevOps infrastructure
Building scalable microservices and/or micro frontend architectures
Applying software design patterns to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability
Developing and operating CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads, and cloud-native systems
Integrating data from IoT devices, sensors, and edge systems into centralized platforms
Collaborating with AI, Embedded, Mobile, and QA teams
Participating in system design reviews, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree (full-time program) in:
Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Security, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Automation Engineering or related technical disciplines
Academic performance classified as Good or Excellent
Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and system design
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
English proficiency: TOEIC ≥ 550 or equivalent
ROLE-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
BACKEND ENGINEER
Proficiency in Java and/or Golang
Experience with backend frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring MVC (Java), Gin, Echo, Fiber (Golang)
Strong experience with microservices and event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Knowledge of JWT-based authentication and authorization
Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Familiarity with IoT and streaming protocols is a plus: TCP/UDP, gRPC, MQTT, WebRTC, HLS, P2P
Security knowledge (plus): API security, SQL injection prevention, CSRF mitigation
FRONTEND ENGINEER
Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience building scalable web applications using ReactJS
Mandatory: Ability to program in at least one general-purpose language: Java, Golang, Python, Scala, C#, or C++
Understanding of software architecture, APIs, and data models
Knowledge of UI/UX principles and responsive design
Experience with micro frontend architectures
Ability to integrate with RESTful APIs and real-time data streams
Security knowledge (plus): XSS prevention, clickjacking protection
DEVOPS ENGINEER
Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud-native platforms
Mandatory: Ability to program in at least one general-purpose language: Java, Golang, Python, Scala, C#, or C++
Experience with monitoring and observability tools:
Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack
Experience deploying and optimizing databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ScyllaDB, Redis
Strong Linux, networking, and firewall configuration skills
Experience supporting large-scale IoT or real-time platforms is a plus
Security knowledge (plus): Secure container configurations, network segmentation, secret management (Vault)
CEH, CHFI certifications are an advantage
