About the Role
We are looking for a Fullstack Developer with strong hands-on experience in the MERN stack who can contribute to both backend and frontend development. The role involves building scalable microservices, developing REST and GraphQL APIs, implementing responsive interfaces, and ensuring high-quality code across the platform. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, be willing to take ownership of modules, and have a solid understanding of software development principles, system design basics, and debugging techniques.
This role gives you an opportunity to work end-to-end on features, from design and development to testing and deployment. You will also collaborate closely with engineering, QA, product, and design teams to deliver reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices using Node.js and Express.js.
Build high-performance RESTful APIs and GraphQL-based endpoints with proper validations and security.
Work on server-side logic, database models, data flow, and API integrations.
Develop user interfaces using React.js, Next.js, and modern frontend libraries.
Implement responsive, cross-browser-compatible UI for web, mobile, and tablet views.
Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code in JavaScript and TypeScript.
Participate actively in the design, development, and deployment processes for new platform features.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across both frontend and backend layers.
Implement unit tests using testing frameworks and follow proper code coverage standards.
Participate in peer code reviews and ensure coding standards and best practices are followed.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, provide technical inputs, and design efficient solutions.
Contribute to system architecture discussions, performance improvements, refactoring, and optimization.
Maintain clear and structured documentation for APIs, modules, and internal systems.
Follow agile methodologies, participate in sprints, and ensure timely deliverables.
Ensure the application meets performance, reliability, and security expectations.
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum 1 year of hands-on development experience with JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.
Strong understanding of the complete MERN stack and fullstack development concepts.
Experience working with React.js and Next.js for building frontend applications.
Strong knowledge of TypeScript and ability to write type-safe and scalable code.
Working experience with GraphQL and API-first systems.
Ability to build responsive UI components using HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling frameworks.
Good understanding of database concepts, schema design, indexing, and performance tuning in MongoDB.
Hands-on experience with unit testing, test automation, and code review practices.
Proficiency with Git, GitHub, and version control workflows.
Basic understanding of system design, microservices architecture, and API communication patterns.
Ability to work in an agile environment and collaborate effectively with different teams.
Strong problem-solving skills, debugging ability, and attention to detail.
Good to Have (Optional)
Exposure to Docker, containerization, or cloud deployment environments.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated build processes.
Knowledge of caching strategies, performance optimization, and scalability improvements.
Understanding of authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
Experience with SSR/SSG concepts in Next.js.
Familiarity with Postman, Swagger, or API documentation tools.
