You are responsible for ensuring that all products sold by the business fully comply with all applicable product safety, environmental and regulatory requirements across the geographic markets we operate in, whilst bringing a pragmatic and common-sense approach to the interpretation \& implementation of legislation.

This role provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and expert guidance on product and supplier compliance, working closely with Purchasing, Quality, Legal, Supply Chain and suppliers to protect the business, customers and brand.

Together with your team you develop and improve policies and procedures to manage the company’s product compliance programme and monitor its implementation. You conduct regular formal compliance reviews and communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure risks are well managed across the different business operations.

ResponsibilitiesProduct Compliance \& Regulatory Management

Ensure full compliance of the Raja Office product portfolio with applicable EU and national regulations, including but not limited to:

  • General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR)

  • REACH \& SVHC

  • RoHS

  • WEEE \& Batteries

  • Packaging \& Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)

  • CE marking and product-specific directives

Monitor regulatory developments across Europe and assess impact on current and future assortments.

Translate regulatory requirements into clear internal policies, processes, and product standards

Leadership \& Team Management

Lead, develop, and coach a team of three Product Compliance Specialists.

Set objectives, priorities, and performance expectations for the team.

Build a strong compliance culture focused on risk prevention, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Act as a key business partner to Purchasing teams of Raja, providing compliance guidance and support during product selection, onboarding, and supplier negotiations.

Support new product introductions by ensuring compliance requirements are met prior to launch.

Work closely with Legal, Quality, Customer Service, Sales and Supply Chain to manage compliance-related issues and escalations.

Supplier \& Market Oversight

Define and manage supplier compliance requirements, including documentation, declarations, and testing.

Act as the primary compliance point of contact for internal stakeholders.

Risk Management \& Governance

Identify, assess, and mitigate product compliance risks.

Lead compliance investigations, product withdrawals, recalls, and authority interactions when required.

Ensure accurate record-keeping and audit readiness across all markets.

Reporting \& Continuous Improvement

Provide regular compliance reporting and risk updates to the management teams.

Drive improvements in compliance processes, tools, and data quality.

Drive digitalisation and automation initiatives related to product compliance.

QualificationsExperience

Experience in European product compliance, regulatory affairs, ISO14000 and/or product safety, ideally within a consumer or B2B products environment.

You will have worked across multiple European markets.

Familiarity with standards, processes and regulations and ideally with a strong

Ability to translate complex regulations into practical business solutions.

Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced, international environment.

Confident communicator, able to influence at senior level.

Analytical, detail-oriented, and risk-aware.

Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
