Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and Angular development, with extensive experience in backend web services and SQL databases. This role involves working on critical Department of Defense (DoD) projects, requiring a deep understanding of DoD protocols and security requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Develop: Create and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Frontend Integration: Develop and integrate user\-facing elements using Angular, ensuring seamless interaction with backend services.
Database Management: Design, implement, and manage SQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
Web Services: Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services to support various applications.
Agile Methodologies: Participate in Agile development processes, including daily stand\-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices and coding standards.
Security Compliance: Ensure all software development complies with DoD security standards and protocols.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross\-functional teams, including front\-end developers, system architects, and project managers.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative development environment.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java and Angular.
DoD Experience: Proven experience working on DoD projects, with a strong understanding of DoD security requirements.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
Strong knowledge of SQL and database management.
Experience with RESTful API development.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Understanding of web security protocols and best practices.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem\-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Java Developer, AWS Certified Developer, etc.
Tools and Technologies: Experience with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Git.
Additional Skills: Knowledge of other programming languages and frameworks is a plus.
