Your Opportunity: Reporting to the GM Operations, in this role you will lead the development and maintenance of a Center of Excellence for Continuous Improvement, including business and operational process management (BPM) and be the Champion of Mini Business Units (MBUs) at Vitaco. The key to success in this position involves a strong grasp of processes knowledge and an ability to collaborate across functions to ensure standardised practices best practices are integrated into ongoing changes.
Responsibilities include identifying, influencing, and implementing process improvements, which will enable Vitaco to remain competitive by staying up-to-date with industry standards and cutting-edge technologies for strategic growth and competitiveness. Furthermore, you will work on enhancing the metric-driven Mini Business Unit (MBU) framework, ensuring ongoing alignment of goals and coaching of MBU pillars to drive improvements.
Responsibilities:
Continuous Improvement (CI):
Lead the identification of areas for process improvement, including opportunities for automation, creating a funnel and pipeline for safety, quality and cost savings.
Collaborate with various business units to implement changes for maximum effectiveness.
Provide in-depth analysis, including cost and benefit articulation.
Coach Six Sigma application to support projects and deliver clear outcomes.
Own and manage Line, Labour and Waste Standards
Business Process Management (BPM):
Identify and simplify processes to streamline activities and reduce waste.
Design and adhere to operations business processes, streamlining and eliminating waste where possible.
Develop process capture standards to support improvements.
Advocate business process improvement and its benefits.
Mini Business Units (MBUs):
Champion the MBU program, coaching MBU leaders to drive engagement and improvement.
Ensure ongoing inductions to the MBU program are consistent and applied to all new Vitaco team members
Maintain the MBU framework through a clear system with metrics to support performance.
Identify champions in areas where upskilling provides development and benefits to Vitaco.
Type of experience and formal education that will favour your application:
Essential: 3+ years of operational leadership experience, business management, and continuous improvement experience, exposure to routings management, including line and labour standards.
Preferred: 5+ years of business improvement and management experience, coaching experience, and a keen attention to detail with an understanding of current business processes and their impacts on users.
Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of stakeholders.
Significant work experience in cross-functional influencing, business process improvement, industrial engineering, and continuous improvement tools and application.
Demonstrated leadership and coaching experience.
Lean Six Sigma qualified (Green Belt +)
Relevant tertiary qualification
BPM qualified
Excellent stakeholder engagement.
